Blocks Acquired

Last year, I posted an article about Blocks and ExpressionEngine 3, in which I said I would upgrade Blocks to work with ExpressionEngine 3.

Life didn't work out that way.

I really wanted to come true on that promise, but it turns out that I don't have the time to do the work.

It would not be fair, however, to make the ExpressionEngine community choose between using a rich content add-on and benefiting from the improvements that ExpressionEngine 3 brings. So when I realized I was unable to bring Blocks to ExpressionEngine 3, I began to search for someone to step up and perform the task.

That's where Q Digital Studio comes in. Q Digital Studio has acquired the copyright to Blocks with the intention of ushering Blocks into the modern era of ExpressionEngine.

I will continue to provide support for all instances of Blocks installed on ExpressionEngine 2 and any questions relating to Blocks on ExpressionEngine 2. Q Digital Studio will focus on updating to ExpressionEngine 3.

I feel strongly that the future of Blocks is in good hands, and that Q Digital Studio will continue to build Blocks into the premier solution for rich content in ExpressionEngine.
